DILI, 15 july 2024 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta, welcomed representatives of the Green Pzz Agency at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace.
The meeting aimed to discuss the work of the Green Pzz Agency in sending young Timorese abroad for skill development and training, as well as workforce training.
The representative of the Green Pzz Agency, Rony Joel Barreto da Costa, highlighted the various programs and partnerships with international institutions that have enabled many young Timorese to acquire new skills and knowledge.
They emphasized the positive impact of these experiences on the participants’ lives and the country’s economy.
According to Rony, the skills acquired abroad are essential for building a more qualified and competitive workforce in Timor-Leste.
He also shared success stories of young Timorese who benefited from the training programs, underlining the importance of continuing to support these initiatives.
Rony stressed that investing in the professional development of young people is crucial for the sustainable development of Timor-Leste and for creating opportunities for young people to effectively contribute to the country’s growth.
Finally, Rony and his team expressed their gratitude to President Horta for his encouragement and support, stating that with joint efforts, the future of Timor-Leste’s workforce will continue to improve.
