DILI, 06 august 2024 (TATOLI) – Foreign Minister, Bendito Freitas visited Timor-Leste’s Embassy in Vietnam on the sidelines of the State Visit of the President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta to Vietnam.
Freitas and his team were received directly by Timor-Leste’s Ambassador to Vietnam, João Pereira along with employees, on sunday (04/08).
The purpose of this visit is to better observe the work of the Embassy, listen to the concerns they face, and encourage the Ambassador and staff to work responsibly.
During the visit, Minister Freitas encouraged Ambassador Pereira to continue exploring the cooperation program that Timor-Leste and Vietnam have, including the segment of cooperation agreements that the two countries have signed in sectors such as education, agriculture, health, and others.
Meanwhile, the total number of employees working at the Timor-Leste Embassy in Vietnam is 7 composed of the Ambassador himself, 2 diplomatic employees, and four local employees.
