DILI, 04 november 2024 (TATOLI) – The general debate on the General State Budget (GSB) for 2025 will take place between november 6 and 8, 2024 in the National Parliament.
The session will begin with the presentation of the GSB Bill by the Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmão, followed by the presentation of the conclusions of the Public Finance Committee’s report.
The debate will include speeches by Members of Parliament and the Government, who will have a total of 17 hours and 20 minutes divided between the parliamentary benches and the Executive.
Once the general vote has been concluded, the State Budget will be discussed and voted on in the special session, which will take place from november 11 to 25, with the final overall vote scheduled for the end of this period.
The final draft of the budget bill is due to be sent to the President of the Republic for promulgation on november 27.
