DILI, 02 december 2024 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste Disability Association (ADTL) in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MSSI), organized a meeting to discuss the promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
According to ADTL’s Executive Director, Cesário da Silva, the initiative aimed to bring together civil society leaders and representatives of local and international agencies in order to discuss the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market.
He added that, in addition to the meeting, the celebrations for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities will include a thanksgiving mass at Motael Church, a peace march, and a musical concert at the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Art, and Culture.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated annually on december 3. The International Day of Disabled Persons aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development.
