DILI, 06 december 2024 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Health through the National Service of Ambulance and Medical Emergency (SNAEM.IP) has boosted the fleet of ambulances with an additional five to boost emergency medical services in the country.
The vehicles were handed over by the Vice Prime Minister, Minister Coordinator for Social Affairs and Minister of Rural Development and Community Housing, Mariano Assanami Sabino, accompanied by Vice-Minister for Institutional Strengthening in Health, José dos Reis Magno and the Director of SNAEM, Simplício Amaral.
Of the five vehicles, one is distributed to the Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili, and the others are distributed to the municipal health services in Dili, Aileu and Lautem.
“The Health Ministry allocated US$300,000 for the purchase of these vehicles from Thailand,” Minister Amaral said.
