In december 2023, the government of Timor-Leste, through the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) launched operation services of the Automated Parking System (APS) at the President Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili.

Following the installation of the APS, any vehicle entering the airport was charged. Motorcycles would be charged at US$0.50 per hour, US$1 for cars, and US$1.50 for buses and trucks.
