DILI, 09 december 2025 (TATOLI) – The Government of Timor-Leste, through the Secretary of State for Toponymy and Urban Organization Affairs (SEATOU-Tetun acronym) held talks with the Kuluhun communities whose houses are located next to the Kulhun-Fatuahi Road Expansion Project.
During the discussion, the Secretary of State for Toponymy and Urban Organization Affairs, Germano Santa Brites Dias asked the communities to empty the spaces and leave at least three meters of clear spaces between their house and the street.
Dias said that the government would also hold discussions about the road expansion project with communities in Becora and Câmea next week.
He said that the communities have been ordered to empty the spaces by february 9,” Dias told journalists in Kuluhun, Dili, today.
The Kuluhun-Fatuahi Road Enlargement project is the construction of additional roads to address traffic issues in the capital Dili.
The head of Kuluhun village, Deus Dado Martins, revealed that more than 30 houses have been identified to be affected by the project.
