DILI, 17 january 2025 (TATOLI) – El-Matador Boxing Club will send two of the club’s best fighters, namely Delio Mouzinho and Daniel de Asis Belo to participate in the Holywings Sport Show (HSS), in Bali, Indonesia. This event takes place on february 9.
Timorese boxer Delio Mouzinho known as El Bruto will face Uzbek fighter Alisher Ismailov at the boxing fights on february 9. They will fight in a 6-round fight.
The head of the El-Matador Boxing Club, Abílio Orlando dos Santos, said that the two boxers are training heavily to build strength, stamina, and coordination for their fights. Their training regimen includes weight training, cardio, and boxing drills.
“We have nothing to worry about because they’re prepared, mentally, physically, and emotionally,’ said Santos.
Santos said that the two Timorese boxers are taking part in the boxing event due to the support of El-Matador’s sponsors, including Caltech, Borala, Fuel Lda, Tahana, and so on.
Delio said he is ready and hoped to add another victory to his win record: “I’m ready mentally and physically for the fight.”
Delio is known as the most Timorese skillful male boxer.
Delio competed first in national events in 2019 and the 24-year-old boxer has significant international experience as well. In 2021, Delio competed in the Sea Games in Vietnam and finished second overall with a silver medal.
