DILI, 23 january 2025 (TATOLI) – The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health (MoH), on wednesday, convened a two-day Multistakeholder Consultation Workshop on Digital Health Blueprint, bringing together key ministries and partners to discuss, refine, and finalize this vital framework.

The Digital Health Blueprint serves as a strategic guide for the development and implementation of digital health solutions, emphasizing sustainable approaches, strategic planning, and the integration of emerging technologies.

This milestone represents a crucial step toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and advancing progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Digital Health Blueprint will also serve as a platform for architecting and arraying digital health solutions by building an ecosystem that promotes collaboration and coordination between stakeholders, the public, development partners, and the private sector.

The World Health Organization (WHO) South-East Asia Region has a digital health strategy that aims to improve access to healthcare and health systems performance. The WHO provides technical support and guidance to help member states implement digital health technologies.

“Digital health is the systematic application of information and communications technologies, computer science, and data to support informed decision-making by individuals, the health workforce, and health systems, to strengthen resilience to disease and improve health and wellness, according to WHO,” said WHO.
