DILI, 26 February 2025 (TATOLI) – Today, the Council of Ministers appointed Elizeu Isaac as the new President of the Board of Directors of Timor-Leste’s state-owned television RTTL, E.P.
The Government Resolution, which determined the dismissal of the current President of the Board of Directors of RTTL, EP, José António Belo, and the appointment of Elizeu Isaac Fernandes, was presented by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Expedito Dias Ximenes.
“The appointment is based on the new Chairman’s recognized technical and management skills, as well as his professional experience, seniority, suitability, and impartiality,” said in a statement.
Elizeu Isaac Fernandes, who has recently worked as the Chief of Staff at the Secretary of State for Social Communication, will take up his new post for a four-year term.
Fernandes previously worked as an advisor at the Ministry of State Administration between 2018 and 2020. He also worked as a lecturer at the Timor Lorosa’e National University (UNTL) between 2013 and 2018.
Fernandes was born on March 13, 1986, in Same, Manufahi Municipality, and earned a master’s degree in Social Communication from Dr. Soetomo University in Indonesia.
