WHO supports AIFAESA with 6 motorbikes to enhance food inspection services

DILI, 27 February 2025 (TATOLI) –  The World Health Organization (WHO) Timor-Leste provide six motorbikes to Authority for Inspection of Economic, Sanitary and Food Activities (AIFAESA) to enhance food inspection services, ensuring safer food for everyone in the country.

“WHO is proud to support Authority for Inspection of Economic, Sanitary and Food Activities (AIFAESA) with six motorbikes to enhance food inspection services, ensuring safer food for everyone in Timor-Leste,” said in a statement.

This support is part of WHO’s ongoing collaboration with AIFAESA to strengthen food safety systems—by digitizing inspection processes, improving data collection, and developing effective communication strategies.

“Together, we are working to protect public health and ensure that every meal meets safety standards,” said WHO Representative to Timor-Leste. Arvind Mathur.
