DILI, 28 February 2025 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Youth, Sports, Art, and Culture (MJDAK-Tetun), together with the Inspection Team of the CPLP Games (CTA-Portuguese), launched the Secretariat for Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sport of the CPLP 2025.
The launch took place at the Dili Convention Center (DCC), in Dili, which will host the CPLP Games between 17 and 27 July, 2025.
Minister of Youth, Sports, Art, and Culture, Nelyo Isaac Sarmento, said that the office of the Secretariat for the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sport of the CPLP, which is equipped with computers and internet, not only offers technical support for the organization of the conference and CPLP Games but also provides support for journalists and media coverage of the events.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all the CPLP member states for supporting Timor-Leste in hosting the 12th Edition of the CPLP Games,” said Minister Sarmento during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Dili Convention Center on Thursday. “This event is the first of its kind to be hosted by Timor-Leste. Thus, it’s an opportunity to promote our culture to other CPLP countries,” said the Minister.
Minister Sarmento pledged to increase efforts to ensure that all the necessary facilities would be readied for the upcoming Games.
