DILI, 10 March 2025 (TATOLI) – The Director of the StarKing Ltd, Lay Siu Hing, has announced that the StarKing Medical Center is on track to open in June 2024. The private hospital is under construction in Audian, Dili.
The design and construction related cost of the StarKing Medical Center is US$15 million.
The five-story hospital with 135 rooms is expected to offer world-class private healthcare to residents in Dili.
Hing, the owner of StarKing Medical Center, said he is willing to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to enhance healthcare services in the country.
“As soon as the hospital is ready, and if the government wants to work with us, we are ready to collaborate in providing healthcare services to the population, especially those with financial difficulties who cannot afford to go abroad for treatment,” he said.
Hing added that specialist doctors in the fields of oncology, cardiology, and neurology, would be recruited in order to provide the best possible services to Timorese people.
“Our clinical staff will be made up of Cubans, Indonesians, Malaysians and Timorese,” Hing concluded.
