DILI, 19 March 2025 (TATOLI) – The Government of Timor-Leste, through the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (MoSSI), has made US$918,000 available to purchase 51,000 bags of 25kg rice, as well as packages of beans and milk this year.
MoSSI’s Director General, Florêncio Pina, said that these food products would be distributed to all municipal warehouses to support vulnerable groups and victims of natural disasters.
Pina said that five municipalities, including Ainaro, Aileu, Liquiçá, Manufahi, and Manatuto, will each receive 1,500 bags of rice.
Meanwhile, the other municipalities, including Baucau, Ermera, Viqueque, Lautém, Bobonaro, Covalima, and Oé-Cusse, will each receive 2,400 bags. Dili will receive 3,900 sacks, and Ataúro will receive 600 sacks.
