DILI, 04 April 2025 (TATOLI) – In a significant step toward advancing digital transformation in Timor-Leste, the National Commercial Bank of Timor-Leste (BNCTL) and Telemor, on Thursday officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This strategic partnership is set to redefine digital services in the country, enhancing financial accessibility and operational efficiency.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Telemor, Vu Duc Nguyen; the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Telemor, Phung Trung Dung; and senior department managers from Telemor. Representing BNCTL were the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Marcelo Carvalho; Member of the Executive Committee, Joaquim dos Reis Martins; IT Manager, Nemecio Gama; and other key officials from relevant departments.
This partnership aims to develop and enhance digital services, delivering greater convenience to the people of Timor-Leste—particularly BNCTL’s customers—while accelerating the nation’s digital progress.
Key areas of cooperation include:
- Seamless integration of Mosan and BNCTL services, enabling more efficient financial transactions.
- Special partnership policies designed to foster mutual benefits for both organizations.
- A nationwide push for digital payments, targeting 60% adoption by 2029.
