DILI, 23 April 2025 (TATOLI) – A total of 120 employees of the Dili Municipal Authority (AMD) received completion certificates on Tuesday in Portuguese language proficiency (levels A2 and B1), IT, Customer Service, and Gardening.
The training programs were jointly organized by the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA-Portuguese), and AMD, in partnership with the Lisbon City Council and with financial support from the European Union.
The initiative was carried out as part of the activities of the project Partnership for Strengthening Urban Governance, Social Inclusion, and Promotion of Entrepreneurship in Dili, Timor-Leste.
Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Timor-Leste, Marc Fiedrich, congratulated all the trainees on acquiring new skills and obtaining their training certificates.
Friedrich said that the training, which is crucial for enhancing the trainees’ skills, knowledge, and professional development, will help them improve their job performance and contribute to a positive impact on the communities of Dili municipality.
Present at the ceremony were the Portuguese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Manuela Bairos, and representatives from AMD.
It is worth recalling that in November 2024, 144 certificates were awarded to 101 municipal employees for training in Portuguese Language (levels A2 and B1), IT, One-Stop Shop Customer Service, Report Writing, and Team Leadership and Motivation.
