DILI, 02 May 2025 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta, has asked the Timor-Leste Women’s Business Association (AEMTL) to continue providing training to young people in the area of economic activity, with the main target being vulnerable women, to further improve family economies.
Horta delivered this message at the celebration of AEMTL’s 10th anniversary of existence, held in Baucau Municipality.
The Head of State has always appreciated women who have the courage to stand alone to support their family’s economy through various economic activities and with their adequate knowledge.
He said that the presidency of the republic is ready to support AEMTL in providing training for women’s capacity building in business life.
In addition, together with the Municipal Authority, the Secretary of State for Gender Equality and Inclusion inaugurated the Vila-Nova multipurpose hall, built with investment from Baucau-Oan.
