DILI, 21 July 2025 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste’s mixed beach volleyball duo, Miguela Pereira Ximenes and Noeh Deo Gracías Viegas, bounced back from a loss to Portugal with a strong victory over Mozambique at the 12th CPLP Games, held at Lecidere Beach in Dili, on Monday.
Representing the host nation, Miguela and Noeh delivered a commanding performance against Mozambique’s Arnoldo Nhantumbo and Alaima Ama Mahumane in Monday’s final.
Timor-Leste dominated the opening set with strong teamwork and sharp execution, cruising to a convincing 21-11 win.

After the match, Noeh expressed gratitude for the support from fans and credited the win to teamwork and dedication.
“This result is the outcome of our hard work and unity on the court. We’re thankful for the support and will keep fighting to win gold for Timor-Leste,” he said.
His partner, Miguela, shared his optimism and reaffirmed their commitment to giving their best for the country.
“We’ll continue to work hard in the upcoming matches. Our goal is to bring pride to Timor-Leste,” she said.
