DILI, 29 July 2025 (TATOLI) – President José Ramos-Horta met on Monday with a high-level delegation from Woodside Energy, led by Executive Vice President Julie Fallon, at the Presidential Palace.
During the meeting, President Ramos-Horta emphasized Timor-Leste’s excellent and stable relationships with countries around the world, highlighting them as a crucial foundation for attracting and securing large-scale investment projects, such as the development of the Timor LNG plant on the South Coast.
The Presidency welcomes Woodside’s planned visit to the South Coast, which includes the Suai Supply Base and the proposed site for the LNG plant.
This visit is considered a vital step for the company to gain a firsthand understanding of the national vision for the Tasi Mane project and to witness the potential for development in the region.
Horta underscored the strategic importance of this infrastructure for the nation’s economic future.
He concluded the meeting by expressing his full support for the collaborative process between the Government of Timor-Leste and its corporate partners.
The Head of State conveyed his openness and willingness to facilitate a path forward that ensures the successful and mutually beneficial development of the country’s natural resources for the prosperity of the Timorese people.
