China Showcases Cutting-Edge Robotics at SCO Summit in Tianjin
DILI, 01 September 2025 (TATOLI) – Upon arrival in Tianjin for the SCO Summit, over 20 foreign leaders, international delegates, and journalists were welcomed and greeted by the advanced Chinese humanoid robots, a demonstration of the country’s rank as a global leader in robotics technology.
At the SCO summit, foreign leaders and journalists were fascinated by Chinese humanoid robots called ‘Xiao-He’ that assisted guests at Tianjin’s media center by providing information in three different languages – Chinese, English, and Russian.
Xiao-He is a highly specialized service robot that provides multilingual support, real-time information processing, and protocol-compliant interaction capabilities.
In response to a question about itself, Xiao-He introduced itself with natural human-like gestures, saying, “I am Xiao-He, a cutting-edge humanoid AI assistant designed for the 2025 SCO Summit.” It then politely asked the guest, “How may I assist you today?”
When asked about the SCO, the robot provided a much more detailed explanation than a normal human could do, and it did so just seconds after receiving the question: “The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is an international organization established in 2001. Its purpose is to uphold mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diverse civilizations, and the pursuit of common development,” Xiao-He explained.
Like any other humanoid robot, Xiao-He is a system that integrates advanced emotional recognition algorithms, adaptive learning modules, and comprehensive knowledge databases designed to facilitate smooth communication between international delegates, journalists, and the event organisers.
In addition to providing information on the SCO Summit, Xiao-He could also assist guests with detailed information about how to get around Tianjin City, including its tourism attractions and educational institutions, especially universities and so on.
Xiao-He’s advanced capabilities highlight China’s advancements in cutting-edge technology, positioning it among the global top five in this field.
