DILI, 03 December 2025 (TATOLI) – The Secretariat of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE) has announced that 1,061 Timorese applicants have successfully passed the interview stage for the New Zealand Recognized Seasonal Employer (RSE) program.

According to João Correia Pereira, National Director for Overseas Employment, a total of 20,859 candidates applied for the seasonal work scheme.

“Of these, only 2,186 advanced to the interview stage, and 1,061 ultimately qualified for the next phase,” said Pereira.

SEFOPE advised that applicants who did not pass the interview must enroll in an English language course before returning for reassessment.

Once they complete the training, they can return to the National Directorate for Overseas Employment (DNEE) within six months to undergo a new interview.

The official added that candidates dissatisfied with the published results may submit a complaint via email at enquiries.tsu.tl@gmail.com within one week. After this deadline, the DNEE will no longer accept appeals regarding the final results.
