DILI, 18 March 2026 (TATOLI) – The Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL) said it will officially launch the Timor-Leste Economic Performance Report 2025 on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Dili Convention Center.
A Public–Private Sector Dialogue, co-organized by the Government of Timor-Leste (MCAE), BCTL, and CCI-TL, will also be held under the theme: “Timor-Leste: Toward Private Sector–Led Economic Growth.”
The event will bring together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to exchange views and discuss strategies to strengthen economic diversification, promote investment, and advance sustainable and inclusive growth in Timor-Leste.
According to the Timor-Leste Economic Performance Report 2024, which was launched at the Ministry of Finance, the country’s economic growth stood at 4% in 2024, up from 2.4% in 2023. Although this upward momentum is encouraging, it remains below the government’s 5% economic growth target and underscores the need for comprehensive structural reforms.
