DILI,20 September 2021 ( TATOLI)– The Prime Minister of Timor -Leste, Taur Matan Ruak calls on the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication ( MPASC) to continue to resume the Vaccination campaign across Timor-Leste.
“I appealed to the MPASC to continue the process of national vaccination campaign down to the remote areas and share the information about the advantage of COVID-19 vaccine to the population to increase the participation in the COVID-19 vaccination process,” PM told reporters in his residence Farol, Dili today.
PM explained Timor- Leste will go back to the new normal life when the number of COViD -19 vaccination reached 70 % of the Population in Timor – Leste, therefore all the population should be aware and contribute for the sake of the people and the country itself.
Minister of MPASC Francisco Martins da Costa Pereira Zeronimo told reporters after meeting with the PM that, the purpose of the meeting is to update the information about the vaccination campaign process that the MPASC has been implemented for two weeks across municipalities.
” I came to meet Prime Minister to update the process of National Socialization Program to the people in the rural area to raise the number of participants in the vaccine. I informed the PM that most people in remotes areas are aware of the covid-19 vaccination,” said Geronimo.
Prime Minister Ruak wishes the National campaign of COVID -19 will be continued and increased in the other municipalities to raise the awareness of people about the vaccine.
