DILI, 18 october 2021 ( TATOLI) – Timor – Leste Civil Service Commissioner Faustino Cardoso, said that the Civil Service Commission has implemented a third time of written test for the promotion of individuals in the general regime to become civil servants.
“The was implemented with the purpose to offer the opportunities for civil servants to increase their level of participation in the professional working development performance and motivate them to work professionally, efficiently and improve their quality,” Mr. Cardoso told reporters in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MoFAC), office, Pantai Kelapa, Dili today.
This year composed of 8706 eligible candidates, of the number 2214 women and 6482 men, were to have competed for the 878 vacancies.
The Civil Service Commission also provided the opportunity for 36 Timorese diplomats serving in 19 countries to compete via an online test. The online test takes place today.
The candidates are required to present their Covid-19 vaccination card before taking the test.
Cardoso explained that the test was prepared with 100 questions, the questioners composed of various topics such as the Civil Service’s law, the Timor Leste Constitution, Gender and Inclusiveness, National History, Public Administration, Management, Politics, and strategic planning, Communication, Mathematics, Tetum Language, Portuguese, Audit and inspection, finance, Logistics, and the other relevant materials.
Cardoso added that the online test is transparent and the result will be directly announced once the candidates finish their exam, those who pass the test will get a new position and their salary will be increased next year starting from January 2022.
