DILI, 05 april 2022 (TATOLI) – To attract the international tourism to visit Timor- Leste, the government through the Ministry of Tourism and Commerce Industry (MTCI) must to provide the available condition to serve the international tourist during 24 hrs, The Advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MoFAC), Fernanda Borges advised.
“Timor–Leste is one of the destination country of Tourism in the world, many panorama scenes which attract the tourist to visit Timor–Leste but, we must serve them with a good condition especially the area of security and restaurant must serve them during 24 hrs,” Fernanda Borges told TATOLI at the auditorium of MoFAC in Praia dos Coqueiros, Dili, on this tuesday.
The MoFAC’s advisor recommended to the Government, to improve the condition, work with Timor–Leste National Police (PNTL) to ensure the security and authorize, all restaurant and hotel to open during 24 hrs, to serve the international tourist who wish to visit Timor–Leste – the greatest biodiversity in the world.

“PNTL must ensure the security of the movement of international tourists in all tourism sites and remote areas to guarantee their activities and to open the restaurant within 24 hrs. Almost all activities in Timor–Leste are closed at 9 o’clock at night, this condition makes international tourists when access to the restaurant is very difficult,” she said.
Timor–Leste must begin to improve this condition to attract the international tourist to visit Timor-Leste, to contribute to the economic recovery, if not international tourists will not come because there is no ensuring security and no available restaurant which is opened within 24 hrs, in Timor–Leste.
