DILI, May 4, 2022- (TATOLI)– Local company CIPRIANO FELIX Souro will export 200 tonnes of virgin coconut oil to the European market this year.
Director of Local Souro Coconut Oil, Arsénio Da Costa Pinto Carvalho said the European market demands 200 tons of organic coconut oil.
“This product is in response to European consumption, initial exports will come to the Portuguese market,” Carvalho told Tatoli at his residence in Manleuana Dili.
According to Carvalho Souro coconut oil will provide an initial product with a total of 120 to 200 tons to the Portuguese market.
“The product is currently available and waiting for confirmation from Portugal to start the export process. The agency has been observing coconut oil in Timor-Leste in response to the European market, due to the protracted conflict between Russia and Ukraine and its impact on European markets. Cabral explained that local company Souro produces organic oil products that contain zero cholesterol which is healthy for consumption.
In addition to exporting coconut virgin oil products to the European market, the company will also send its products to the US in the future.
So far the CIPRIANO FELIX Souro coconut Unipesoal Company has exported 10 tons of coconut virgin oil to Australia in 2022.
the company has employed more than 200 workers for oil production and packages and benefited more than 2.000 coconut farmers from different municipalities.
