DILI, 27 July 2022 (TATOLI)— Timor-Leste Charismatic Leader, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão encourages Timor-Leste news agency, TATOLI, I.P, to follow the press vision.
The statement was revealed by Gusmão following the celebration of the VI anniversary of TATOLI, held on july 27, 2022.
“Congratulations TATOLI on its anniversary. I hope it lasts long and fulfills the mission of the press and remains independent. Because Timor-Leste needs an independent and good press so that news doesn’t get published immediately, but more investigation, balance, and thoroughness must be carried out so that after it is published many people will believe it,” Xanana Gusmão told TATOLI at Nicolau Lobato Comoro International Airport.
Gusmão assured Tatoli to develop the capacity to help the press build the mentality of the youth through information:” We must continue to expand our existing capacity to help the press in Timor-Leste build the mentality of youth through information.
“Today a lot of people are wasting time on Social Media and providing information that doesn’t make sense. For such reason, TATOLI should improve itself, combine all efforts to become the press that the public needs to understand about the problems that happened in our country,” he said.
