DILI, 15 december 2022 ( TATOLI) – The Executive Director of the Agency of Information Technology ( TIC) Roberto C. de Sousa Vicente, informed that TIC had saved up to US$ 74 million state budget since its Agency was established in 2017.
” The role of TIC is working based on the Government ‘s decree law No 29 /2017 on 02 August with a special mission to centralize all data centers to digitalize the Information Technology and Communication ( ICT) to the Institutions of Government and Real State Company to reduce the cost of Administration of stationery office from manual to an electronic system,” the Executive Director of TIC Roberto C. de Sousa Vicente, told TATOLI in his office Hudi – Laran, Dili.
Vicente said therefore TIC doing its work following the government policy. It had implemented the IT Server for over 90 State Institutions including Real State Company since 2017 to 2022, with this work implementation, TIC has helped the Institutions to reduce the Administration cost by over $74 million: “So the total costs /budget can be converted to the other program of the government,”
“The reduction of the Administration cost can be realized in all state institutions and real state companies because had utilized the system of digitalization on the data center server in their institution which was facilitated by TIC,” he explained.
Vicente said, TIC is ought to implement the IT server in 200 State Institutions and Real State Companies in National and municipalities and at the moment TIC has reached 90 State institutions while the rest will be continued next year.
