DILI, 21 january 2023 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MOEYS) inaugurated Kameli Timor International School to start the 2023 school year.
The Director for Kinder Garden of Dili Municipality, Mariano Joaquim Da Cruz said that the representative of the Directorate of Kinder Garden was proud of the great initiative of the Timorese women who intended to establish an International School.
“MoEYS is proud of the establishment of an international standard school which was emulated by a Timorese woman. Today Dili Education Office allowed this school to start the learning process because this school met the criteria,” Joaquim Da Cruz told Tatoli at CTIS, malimauk, Comoro, this Saturday.
Meanwhile, The CTIS Principal, Rini Fatmawati Lopes Da Cruz, said that the establishment of this international standard school was her initiative.
“I founded this school to help Timor Leste children from an early age to develop their brains and at the same time provide job opportunities for Timorese who need jobs,” She explained
According to Fatmawati, CTIS uses an international curriculum in its learning process.
“Students are required to speak, write, and read everything in English. We create an English environment for everyone to interact in English,”
According to Fatmawati, they also opened a babysitting service.
“We accept babies aged four months to two years in the category, children aged two to four years in the playgroup category, ages four to six years in the kinder garden category, and six years old will enter first grade,” she said.
Currently, the school enrolls 14 students. Tuition fees range from $80 to $120.
