DÍLI, August 28, 2020 (TATOLI) – The Coordinator of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (UPMA), Brígida Soares, said, two companies, have presented the Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak with two new models of roads construction.
“Two companies, one from Timor-Leste named Exotica and another from Indonesian named Renolith, have given a brief presentation on a new technology called Timo Rock, which is a new model or road construction.This presentation was given in front of Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak.” Brigida Soares told journalists at the end of the meeting with the Head of Govenrment
Brígida Soares also pointed out that the new technology presented brings more benefits in the construction of roads, as it is less expensive and guarantees higher quality, stressing that the Prime Minister wanted to learn about the operation of the new construction model.
According to the coordinator, the two companies, have already started using this new system in current road construction projects, in the areas of Caicoli, Cacaulidun and in the Taibessi market.
Brígida Soares added that the companies intend to make use of this new technology in the execution of construction and maintenance projects for national and rural roads in the future.
“The Prime Minister was very interested in the new technology presented,” She concluded.
Also, the Director-General of Exótica Unipessoal Lda, Mirabilia Faria Sarmento, said that the new technology for the construction of roads consists of soil stabilisation.
This model, according to Mirabilia, is more innovative and guarantees a seal of quality, in addition to reducing costs, time and money.
“We spoke with the Prime Minister, and we have presented the new product used for construction, because, as a Timorese citizen, I see that it will bring enormous benefits to the nation and the industry sector in Timor-Leste”, she concluded.
