DILI, 06 november, 2020 (TATOLI) – Eighty-nine (89) passengers have arrived in Timor-Leste from Philippines with a Cebu Pacific Air Line, last Friday (06/011) at Nicolau Lobato Dili, Airport.
The Director of Consular Affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Timor-Leste, Hermínio da Silva Pinto, said the flight was chartered by scholarship holders and non-scholarship holders residing in the Philippines as well as the Filipino citizens.
“These students have finished their studies and others are having problems with documents [passports] which have already expired,” Hermínio Pinto at Nicolau Lobato International Airport, in Dili.
He added, the ticket cost $750 for the individual passenger while the cost for the flight chartered is $55 thousand.
After arriving at the Nicolau Lobato Airport, the 89 passengers were sent to the mandatory confinement which have provided by the Government at Taci-Tolu and Tiba sites.
“The Government is responsible to pay for the cost of quarantine for the Timorese student’s within 14 days, except for the foreign travelers, they will responsible for the cost of their quarantine,’ he added.
