Timor-Leste has continued its streak of zero COVID-19 cases, with no new infections or deaths

DILI, 14 november TATOLI)– Timor-Leste has continued its streak of zero COVID-19 cases, with no new infections or deaths reported on Saturday, since the patient that taking the treatment at the Vera Cruz Isolation Center is free from the virus after the test results turn negative twice.

The General Coordinator of COVID-19 from the Ministry of Health, Odete da Silva Viegas said, the patient who was positive to covid-19 was taking the quarantine on october 16 and today the team is announcing the results after the patient was transferred to the isolation room by having the symptoms of covid-19.

“today we released a 59 years of age patient with the stable condition and fortunately Timor-Leste are free from COVID-19,” Ms Viegas said during the Press Conference at Caicoli, Dili, sábadu ne’e.

In Spite following the cumulative results from March 2020- November 13 2020 the team recorded 12.248, people have completed their laboratory tests, 387 are waiting for their results, 30 cumulative results, 33 have been recovered from the disease and four are probable.

“Although Timor-Leste is not registered new cases of covid-19, but I appeal to the entire population that the covid-19 pandemic is still the global concern and it threats the public health, thus Ministry of Health over the National Commission of COVID-19 want to appeals to the entire population to maintain calm and continue to implement the prevention methods for the covid-19, washing hands, wear masks, and maintain social distance,” Ms Viegas said.
