DILI, 25 november 2020 (TATOLI)– Students from Saint Peter High School in Comoro Dili, has successfully produced a formula for water contamination to be used again.
The Coordinator from the student group, Genedia Moreira said, the drugs they use are produced from prime materials composed of potassium aluminium or potassium liquid suplement and Accu water.
She explains “the first step to create the drugs is to heat the aluminium and hydroxide potassium until it turns liquid before doing filtration to separate the solid and liquid.
The Last step is when the temperature is cold, we should mix it with additional components and wait until it becomes solid in a similar state to salt and we can then use it to the unclean water,” she said.
It needs 24 hours to heat the aluminium potassium to get good results.
“Now the way to use is to take one spoon of the formula and pour it into the unclean water, and the water will separate from the mud and become a clean water,” she explains.
Although they have produced a formula to filter murky water, they are not sure if it can kill the bacteria which suggests that there needs be detailed laboratory test.
So far, this group learnt this experiment from the internet and taking the reference from the chemistry books at the Saint Peter High School.
