INDMO joined the World Skills Asia

INDMO joined the World Skills Asia

DÍLI, 16 december, 2020 (TATOLI) – The National Labor Development Institute (INDMO), I.P is now becoming a member of WorldSkills Asia.

INDMO is the international non-profit association that brings together Asian countries to promoting the high-quality of the technical skills and vocational education for young Asians.

The Director of INDMO, Isabel Fernandes de Lima, recalled that Timor-Leste was invited to join this organization early on 2019.

Ms Fernandes said, the eleven Asian countries have already joined the WorldSkills Asia and Every country has made a presentation, before receiving votes [from the permanent members].

“Timor-Leste obtained 14 votes and becoming one of the new members of this association,” Isabel Fernandes de Lima told Tatoli, in Fatuhada, Díli.

She added that the important of accessing to this organization, is because of the organization has an area linked to the training of professionals with excellence and allows the sharing of knowledge and skills among Asian youth.

“We now have the right to participate in a virtual skills competition at the level of Asia, which will take place in 2021. A WorldSkills Asia General Assembly will also be held in 2022 in South Korea”, he said.

The organization currently has 26 country members.
