DILI, 07 january, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Public Prosecutor has developed a draft cybernetic bill to control the use of social networks and the spreading of the falsehoods, slander and defamation.
“This cybernetic lawsuit will be adjusted to both the Criminal Procedure and the Penal Code, with regard to digital evidence and certain issues contained in the Timor-Leste Penal Code “, Republic Attorney, José Ximenes, said after the meeting with the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, at the Government Palace, Dili.
The public prosecutor plans to present a draft cybernetic bill to the council of ministers.
” The PP had previously submitted the bill on cyber-crimes to the Ministry of Justice, on January 4th this year, to be presented on the meeting between the Ministers.
