Four Patients with COVID-19 are discharged from Isolation Center

DILI, 11 january 2021 (TATOLI)— Timor’s four confirmed Covid-19 patients are continued to recover from the illness, according to the Coordinator of COVID-19 Nilton da Silva.

The Covid-19 coordinator Nilton da Silva said the COVID-19 has returned the patients to their families after the patients’ signs are justifying negatives.

“I therefore declare to the public that the patient have already been discharged today, one was discharged from the Vera Cruz Isolation Center and another three Were discharged from Isolation Center, Vera Cruz,” Nílton da Silva said at the press conference in the Palácio das Cinzas, in Dili.

It is recalled that The Coordinator of COVID-19, Odete  da Silva Viegas had previously revealed that, the patient is  a 35 year old male, traveled from Uganda to Dubai on november 16 2020 and arrived in Malaysia on november 17 and continue travelling to Dili with 63 passengers and was confirmed positive by the Ministry of Health on december 1, 2020 after two weeks.

Timor-Leste has recorded 49 cases of the disease so far, with all those infected 45 having recovered.

Since the outbreak began, 17.668 people have had laboratory tests, of which 17.394 have tested negative, while 225 are still waiting for the results.

In addition, 8 people are currently undergoing the treatment with no new confirm cases and zero death record.
