DILI, 19 january, 2021 (TATOLI) – Nilton do Carmo da Silva, the General Coordinator of the Covid-19 Team announced two more patients of covid-19 have recovered from the disease after being isolated in Vera Cruz Dili.
“Yesterday, the health team decided to discharge two patients infected with covid-19, since both recovered from the disease,” Nílton do Carmo da Silva told the journalists at the Ministry of Health office, Caicoli Dili.
Mr Silva said, the patients will continue with home quarantined and comply with the measure implemented by the Ministry of Health.
“The two patients one is 33-year-old foreigner, and another one is 42-year-old Timorese citizen, who were being isolated at the Vera Cruz Isolation Center on December 27 last year, “Silva said.
According to Silva, the two patients performed the first test on January 2021, while the second test was on january 18, and the results turn negatives twice.
He recalled that the two citizens travelled with different flights. The foreign citizen, he traveled from Pakistan to Doha, and then boarded the flight between Malaysia and Dili on 22 December.
The 42-year-old Timorese citizen was traveled from the United Kingdom to Doha, and continued with another flight from Malaysia to Dili on December 22 last year.
