DILI, 20 january 2021 (TATOLI) – National Authority of Petroleum and Mineral (ANPM) announces the closing date for the public tender of the 18 new sites will be on october 2021.
The tenders- comprised of seven onshore and 11 off-shore blocks — were released last month by Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak at a global gathering of mining executives in Dili.
ANMP has announced the promotion of the tender to many countries; Singapore, United Kingdom, United State of America, Abu Dhabi, Australia and other countries. Including the promotion via online conference Global E&P Summit realized by the IN-VR oil & Gas firms at the United Kingdom office.
“Until october 2021 ANPN continues to release of a public tender for 18 new oil exploration blocks to define the contract with the potential firms to invest and develop the 18 new sites through the public tender,” Victor da Conceição Soares said at Government palace. Dili. wednesday
The Authority is currently promoting the tender to the companies abroad, specially about the fiscal and legal regimes, in the sharing contract of the production to release the public tender. Thus one or two companies interested in exploring for minerals at 18 new sites released for public tender.
Timor-Leste Oil & Gas Summit 2019 was organized by ANPM, with the support of US firm, IN-VR Oil & Gas.
The conference is the first of its kind in Timor-Leste, with more than 250 participants from 16 countries taking part.
The rock structure of the basins beneath the exploration sites was identified in a seismic study earlier this year, which revealed potentially large petroleum and gas deposits. The summit heard Timor-Leste must work hard to promote the sites to investors.
