DILI, 25 january, 2021 (TATOLI) – Commissioner-General of the National Authority of Expo Dubai in Timor-Leste (ANED-TL), Manuel Vong, said today that the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTCI) has proceeded, the acquisition of local products for 2021 Dubai Expo.
“Various products were purchased by the responsible authority within the 12 municipalities, including Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA),” General Commission for the Expo Dubai, Manuel Vong, told Tatoli , at the Convention Center of Dili (CCD).
Speaking to the journalist, Vong said the amount allocated for the purchase of local products is US $ 10,000.
He added that the acquisition of local products is part of the definitive list that will be soon delivered to the organization of Expo Dubai.
“The plan foresees that the Expo Dubai Secretariat in Timor-Leste will send, on the 7th of February, a list of 82 products selected for 2021 Dubai Expo “,Vong said
Vong However said that the list containing the names of the respective products has already been sent to MTCI, stressing, that the Minister has yet approved this list, thus they are waiting for the decision from the Government.
Vong recalls that the Dubai Expo Commission decided all countries to send their selected products that will be displayed in the pavilion prepared by this commission on March this year, yet recently the Comission decided to move the date into February 7.
