DILI, 30 january, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Coordinator of Covid-19, Nílton do Carmo da Silva, informed today that, Timor-Leste registers a new case of covid-19, which bring the total number of active cases to 19 after one more patient has recovered.
The patient is a Timorese citizen, an immigration attaché at the Consulate of Kupang, Indonesia.
According to Nílton da Silva, the attaché arrived in TL on January 15, through Batugadé border, where he was quarantined. He was performing a test on January 29 and the result turned positive, and he was then transported to the Vera Cruz isolation center in Dili.
Among the current 19 infected citizens, 18 are in the Vera Cruz isolation center and one in the Special Administrative Region Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA).
While the recovery patient is 48 years old, and was discharged on Saturday (30/01/2021).
According to data from January 30, 18,903 have been completing the tests, with 166 people awaiting the results. 323 people are in mandatory quarantined.
