DILI, March 11, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTCI), José Lucas do Carmo da Silva, said yesterday that the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (MCAE) and the Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry (MTCI) issued an amendment to operating the business activities in the supermarkets and restaurants under the restriction of covid-19.
The minister recalled that the Council of Ministers approved changes to the sanitary fence and mandatory confinement in the Municipality of Dili, for a week.
“This amendment grants powers to the MCAE and the MTCI, through a joint order, to define the economic activities during the sanitary fence in the Municipality of Dili”, The MTCI Minister, Silva said at the office of Ministry of Finance.
According Mr Silva the Government will not prohibit economic activities, but will control the sales and buying products in the supermarkets and restaurants to prevent the increase in cases of covid-19.
