DILI 25 march 2021 (TATOLI) – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide US $ 93 million to Timor-Leste do develop the Government program through various ministries, The United State Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Charles Kevin Blackstone statement today.
“I met with the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, to hear the priorities programs from the current Government. The US embassy, through USAID, will cooperate with the relevant ministries to support the programs, ” Ambassador Blackstone said after the meeting with the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, at the Government Palace.
US budgetary assistance is intended for the implementation of various programs in Timor-Leste, such as those for economic development, gender equality and support for vulnerable groups.
Ahead of February, the United States of America supported the Timorese Government with US $ 285 million to finance projects in the sectors of education, water, sanitation and drainage.
