Korea Government provides $100.000 in humanitarian assitance to support the victims of the floods

DILI, 14 april 2021 (TATOLI) – The Government of Korea through its Embassy in Timor-Leste, offers $.100.000 in humanitarian assistance to support heavily affected families during the natural calamity in Timor-Leste. 

Korea Republic Embassy in Timor-Leste, Kim Joeng accompanied by the Korean companies in Dili, symbolic handed over $.100.000.00 and the food items including, rice, cooking oil, noodles to the Government Secretary State for Civil Protection (SEPS) Joaquim Gusmão in his office, Caicoli, Dili.

Secretary State of Civic Protection (SPES), Joaquim Gusmão on behalf of the Government thanked the Korean Government for the support.

The supports will be managed by the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) working closely with SEPS to buy the food and non-food items to be distributed to the victims.

The Director of In Hang Shops Company, Hong Jez Seong, conveys solidarity to the family of the floods affected victims, and willing to support the country in any situation.
