DILI, april 23, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Director-General of the Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE), Paulo Alves, will send an official letter this week o the Ministry of Labor and Employment of South Korea requesting the authorization for 400 East Timorese workers to return to South Korea.
Mr. Alves said that SEFOPE will await the response from the South Korean Government and will accept any decision.
“If the South Korean Government responds in the affirmative to our request and authorizes our citizens to return to the country to resume their work in Korean companies, We will be ready to send our workers to South Korea,” he said.
t is recalled that the South Korean ambassador, Kim Jeong Ho, has already discussed the renewal of contracts for these 400 Timorese workers.
