CIGC reports 86 cases of new  corona virus in Timor-Leste

DILI, 30 april 2021 (TATOLI)- Timor-Leste, Center of Integrated and Management Crisis of COVID-19, reports 86 local cases of the new coronavirus, bring the country’s total active infections to 1,162.

Of the new cases, 77 were identified in Capital Dili, six cases in Baucau municipality, six in Eermera, six in Lautem, and one in Viqueque. 

Likewise, the CIGC Authority also reports 47 recoveries. 

The Coordinator of the CIGC, Rui de Araújo said, among the infections announced today, 57 are men and 29 women. Twenty-two were detected following requests for traveling authorization.

According to Mr. Araújo since yesterday, the National Health Laboratory carried out 1,294 laboratories, 64 of which in the scope of sentinel surveillance, 151 of contact screening, 505 of random screening, 513 requests to leave Dili Municipality 36 for international travel, and 52 in quarantine.

According to Araújo, 23 patients are under the treatment at the Vera Cruz isolation center, including seven in obstetrics, one in surgery, 12 in internal medicine, and three in pediatrics.

Concerning the cases detected by municipality, since the emergence of the new coronavirus, Aileu has six, Ainaro 17, Baucau 98, Bobonaro 16, Covalima 52, Díli 1.937, Ermera 45, Lautém 13, Liquiçá 14, Manatuto five, Manufahi 52 , RAEOA seven and Viqueque 15.
