UNDP supports the Ministry of Interior in the management of natural disasters risks

DILI, may 22, 2021 (TATOLI) – The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will support the Ministry of the Interior in the area of ​​natural disaster management. 

The Deputy Minister of the Interior, António Armindo, held a meeting with the UNDP representative, Munkhtuya Altangerel, to discuss the cooperation for the future installation.

Munkhtuya Altangeral reported that the UNDP has the initiative to support MI to increase the community’s resilience in preventing natural disasters.

“We discussed some strategic support in the area of ​​the partnership, namely the reduction and risk management of natural disasters and the warning system of adverse weather conditions”, Munkhtuya Altangerel, said in a statement. 

Also, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, António Armindo, stressed that the Government needs to establish institutional cooperation and development partnership. “MI thanked UNDP for the support provided during this time”, he said.
