DILI, 06 june 2021 (TATOLI) – The Integrated Crisis Management Center (ICGC), on Sunday, registered 81 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 152 recoveries, while active cases were 2402.
The 81 new cases were made up of 44 males and 37 females between the age of 12 and 59, including nine children under the age of 12.
The spokesperson of ICGC, Dr. Rui Maria de Araujo said that of the 81 cases only 3.7 percent were symptomatic.
In the last 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (NHL) had performed 601 PCR test, including 6 sentinel surveillance tests, 39 through contact tracing, 46 via random screening, 481 were performed following the request for travel authorization out of capital Dili, 1 for the international travel authorization, and 27 in quarantines.
The evolution of the COVID-19 in Timor-Leste, the incidence rate of coronavirus is, on average, in the last week, of 9.1 per 100 thousand inhabitants, while in Dili of 28.9, in Baucau 5.4, Bobonaro of 3.3, and Viqueque 3.2.
Araujo said 27 patients were under treatment at the Vera Cruz Isolation Center, saying three were in critical condition.
The CIGC reiterated its call on communities to strictly obey and practice the health and safety guidance that had been applied since the country imposed lockdown in Dili and other municipalities.
There has been a total of 7740 lab-confirmed cases of the virus in Timor-Leste, with 5321 recoveries and 17 deaths, according to data of the (CIGC).
