DILI, 21 june 2021 (TATOLI)-Thirty Timorese junior diplomats have benefited the online lecture from senior Filipino diplomat Asean in Jakarta, informed Vice Consul and Third Secretary of the Philippines Embassy to Timor-Leste, Laser Blitz B. Sumagaysay.
Mr. Sumagasay said that currently the Philippines is hosting Asean in Jakarta.
To take this opportunity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MOFAC) in coordination with the Philippines Embassy to Timor-Leste has registered 30 junior diplomats and they have been attending online lectures since 2019 until now.
“Senior Diplomats from the Philippines who serve in Asean Jakarta are very experienced, so they want to share their knowledge with their juniors so that they can be useful for future prospects,” said Sumagasay to Journalist TATOLI in the Philippines Embassy Farol, Dili on monday.
He explained that the online lecture material that was transformed to Asean junior diplomats, including 30 East Timorese junior diplomats, was about the Asean Community, Asean Economy, Asean Culture, Asean Security and Defense, Asean Politics and Law and other materials.
Sumagasay hopes that this knowledge will be useful for 30 Timor-Leste junior diplomats at MOFAC and will be implemented when Timor-Leste become the member of Asean in future.
