DILI, 12 july 2021(TATOLI)- The Director of the Timor-Leste Disabled Eyes Association (AHDMTL) Gaspar Afonso said that he had received aid as a sense of humanitarian solidarity to AHDMTL in 2020.

“I have received money from the Malaysian Embassy in the amount of $350 at the AHDMTL office,” said Afonso in Manleuana to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency on monday.
Afonso said the money was a form of solidarity from the Malaysian Embassy to AHDMTL.
Therefore, they already used the money to buy the office equipment for the benefit of AHDMTL in a few months.
“Although this fund is small, AHDMTL really appreciates this assistance, because of that on behalf of AHDMTL I express my deepest gratitude to the Malaysian Embassy in Timor Leste and we hope that AHDMTL and the Malaysian Embassy will become ‘s AHDMTL partners in the future,” he said.
Previously, the Malaysian Government through the Malaysian Embassy had assisted AHDMTL in sending 2 AHDMTL members to attend massage training for three months in Malaysia in 2017.
And now the AHDMTL Massage Center has grown as a business in Timor-Leste because of the support from Malaysia.
