DILI, 16 september 2021 (TATOLI)– Director of Centru Nasional Chega -IP (CNC) Hugo Maria Fernandes said, CNC has conducted the preliminary meeting with the representative of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and United Nation Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to implement the program of preservation of national archive in Timor -Leste.
“CNC, KOICA, and UNESCO will work together to develop National Archive, we have done the preliminary meeting and we have shared the ideas, KOICA and UNESCO are available to develop the historical preservation in Timor – Leste,” Fernandes told reporters in his office Bayside, Dili on Wednesday.
Fernandes explained KOICA wishes to build the center of peace to accumulate the youths of Timor Leste to study the conflict resolution based on the history of Timor -Leste.
CNC – KOICA has agreed to implement this program therefore both CNC and KOICA will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to run this project.
at the same time, CNC also conducted a meeting with the representative of UNESCO discussing how to cover all the history in the national curriculum.
” We have agreed to resume this cooperation how to elaborate the history of Timor-Leste liberation in the Nasional curriculum and UNESCO will collaborate with CNC to elaborate this program in the short term, He said.
this program will only be implemented in the Elementary school and Senior High school across Timor-Leste.
